A variation in the conventional type of match 3 puzzle games consists of games like Zuma where the player has to prevent moving tiles from reaching their destination and eliminate them in the way by adding more tiles to the line to make combination of three or more pieces. This variant has got several similarly styled games with different themes and scintillating graphic and animation effects. Beetle Bomp v.2.0 is a similar game where the player has to eliminate beetles moving towards their destination in line by throwing more beetles at them to make and order of three or more and prevent them from reaching their destination.
Beetle Bomp v.2.0 has marvelous graphics and interface with a horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen showing number of lives left, score and level progression in suggestive and intuitive presentation and characters. The game has a story mode where these beetles are the result of a special experiment and they live and cultivate by eating electricity. Now the electrician Lyle and a beetle expert entomologist named Martina are on the task of eliminating these beetles to prevent their infestation, who have accidentally escaped from the secret laboratory. The player traverses through an exciting journey to deal with butterflies, bees, centipedes and hard shelled bugs. These insects can be found everywhere from city to country side and trying to expand their coverage through mills, docks, plants, farms in fifteen different locations like Dream field park, Hard Knox farm and Metropoland. The game consists of two styles of modes: one is classic styled and other involves journey through quests.
Beetle Bomp v.2.0 is overall, a nicely animated game and involves enhanced graphics effects and hilariously styled bugs and insects. Hence, it receives a score of four points on the scale of five.
